August 2020

Happy August...as with everything over the last 5 months, this month is also different than was planned, but lots of memories were made :)

We have continued working on some house projects...to be fair, this isn't just because of COVID, these are projects that always needed to be done and there's always more :)

What wasn't expected was the oven dying :( Luckily we got a new one very quickly!

We also gave the bus some much needed love, no one soaps as well as Rose.

Rose has also been going to vision therapy weekly. Reading is a struggle for Rose right now and we are working on ensuring she has the support she needs to be successful...and she looks like a pirate, so it's a win-win :)

There's been lots of fun too!
We made it to not one, but two aerial yoga classes for the first time since COVID. Rose super enjoyed getting to show off some moves and learn some new ones.

We also kept our masks on and created Marvina!

And we decided to give a new amusement park a try. We headed to Dorney and tried out some new rides.

We had some adult time and made it out to our favorite brewery, again a first since March :)

We always love food, especially happy food :)

And lunches, Rose has to pack in a paper bag for daycare and she loves to remember her drawings, thanks Alexa!

We have the sweetest momma and 6 kittens. They are all super sweet, but we are learning a lot from this group. Momma wasn't interested in nursing after a few days and half the litter went to another wonderful foster home who could bottle feed them, while we supported momma in nursing the remaining 3. Everything went very well and we have been able to reunite them all! They are gaining weight and so cuddly.

We have also spent lots of time in and on the water! Paddle boarding has become a quick family favorite...really we just needed something Justin didn't hate doing and getting wet ;)

Rose loves being a big cousin and lucky for her, now there are lots of little ones to love.

Including a fresh new little girl cousin!

AND we ended the month with ...

BRACES!! This cute face will be coming at you for the next year :)

Happy First Day of 3rd Grade :)

July 2020

We're making the most of this summer and seeing it as getting to spend more time together and with some family :)

We made a trip to Virginia to hang out with our Bechtel cousins :)
This playground is a must stop every time we make a trip down, there is this amazing zipline (also fun for adults)!

Our *BIG* adventure was getting manicures, I'll be honest, I really missed this (and wearing a mask the whole time was no big deal!)

Mostly we just enjoyed time together, which was perfect :)

We planted some seeds...no updates, so I'm guessing they were dug back up or not watered :) Either way it made this little one pretty happy for a bit!

We spent lots of time in Aunt Laura's pool and staying cool.

This is the mobile we took to VA, it was actually pretty comfortable and Rose was great with helping to keep her clean.

We spent time with our PA cousins. Somebody loves her chocolate, almost as much as her Aunt Heather :)

Rose loves cuddling her little baby cousins, lucky for her there are more on the ways this fall.

And yes, we are those parents doing schoolwork all summer :)

And some days Rose leaves me some extra 'helpers' to do my work... which is ok except when they drink my iced coffee.

We also had some new adventures and gave paddle boarding a try and we all LOVED it :)

We even made it back to our favorite camping spot and had a beautiful weekend to enjoy.

We enjoyed a yummy lunch at our favorite spot

And practiced our knot tying skills

We had time in the sand

And we got back out in the water with a kayak and paddle board. Rose is fast becoming an expert :)

We've also continued to foster cute little kittens. This pair was Spaghetti and Meatball :)

And after they were adopted we got out largest group yet, 6 kittens and their mama :)

We are already enjoying this sweet group!
