July 2025

This summer we have had a lot of fireflies! i tried to capture some in this photo, but the little gals are shy :) Anyway we've really been enjoying them...the mosquitos, not so much!

I still get pictures of Rose in the mornings...sometimes she doesn't cooperate

sometimes she does :)

Rose and I have also been water coloring this summer. I find it's a really nice way to relax and just have fun with something.

Rose also went digging for her potatoes, this has become a yearly tradition :)

While mom had a to work a few hours on the weekend, Justin and Rose got to see a movie...they enjoyed the movie, mom did not enjoy work ;)

In the spring we made plans to take a friend to Hershey Park and that weekend happened in July. Since Anna lives a bit away we had her for the whole weekend. I was a brave mom and took the girls to Hershey all by myself so Justin could do house projects.

I definitely had the better day. The girls were great and lots of fun!!

And Justin worked on staining the fence :)

We also got in two camping weekends to new, to us, State Parks and breweries!!

The first park was Francis Slocum
There was a great lake which we all enjoyed...especially when Rose got to splash Justin for this cool photo :)

Look at our cute camper (with a new shiny roof)

With a stop at North Slope Brewery

The second park was Raymond B. Winter

With a long awaited trip to Rusty Rail

An unexpected treat was this group of crows who owned the campground...they were very boisterous and let everyone know we were in their home, but I loved them :)

Rose and I also paddled on the second smallest lake yet...it was cute :)

It was rainy off and on, but cleared up enough for a nice campfire.

We ended the month with two music performance from Rose. She participated in summer strings and summer band (playing both trombone and clarinet)

June 2025

I hate having to get up early and go to work in the morning, but I love the morning pictures of Rose I get :)

Sometimes I even send some back :)

Something that Rose did not like this month was having to get her last tooth out with a little help from the dentist...but they were successful!!

Here is Rose with all her 'sparkle' dollars from the tooth fairy

And the tooth fairy brought a new game which we all love :)

Rose finished 7th grade! There were lots of fun memories, but Rose is ready for summer break!!

We celebrated summer break by taking Rose and some friends to Hershey Park. Since Rose was having fun with friends we were able to have some relaxing parent time with coffee :)

We also had some friend with friends and did a mother-daughter aerial yoga class

When the summer started Rose was going to go to work with Justin a day each week....here are pictures of her first and only day so far...

Started off with donuts....

Field trip for supplies

Relaxing on the internets...

Lunch time...not sure how much actual work was done ;)

We've also been spending lots of time outside between raindrops.
We found our first firefly of the season

And our potatoes are growing well. If you don't have a skeleton in you planter, what's the point?

We also got to finally take our paddle boards out for their first time on the lake this year!

And when it's been too wet outside we've had fun indoors.
We've made some new cookie recipes, this is my favorite so far: Pistachio Chocolate Chip.

Rose and Justin's Birthday present arrived! They wanted the new Switch 2 that wouldn't be released till June 5. They waited patiently because they both love MarioKart. Rose says it was worth the wait

We took our annual girl's trip to Ikea. We had some meatballs and got lots of finds we just had to have :)

Where we adopted a new friend :) Meet Ollie, he's the newest addition to Rose's crew and we all love him!

We ended the month with a family trip to Hershey. It was hot, but we did some of our favorites and then headed to Troegs to cool off. And we ended the night with ice cream because it's summer and we love ice cream :)
