It feels like summer is flying by! The saying about time going faster as we age, seems to be holding true especially as you watch your child age!

We enjoyed our 4th of July holiday weekend in New York with Justin's grandparents. Last time we visited, Rose said she wanted to ride the locks and so this trip we made it happen! It was a SUPER hot day, but we enjoyed our ride and learning about the Erie Canal.

We also made another trip to Justin's childhood park :)

This time we headed into Rochester for a day and visited the Science Museum. It's definitely worth another visit if we are back in the area. I think the highlight for everyone was the Tesla Coils 'playing music' :)

The rest of the museum was full of fun too with lots of hands on activities.

We ended our day by checking our a local brewery where they also had flights of soda! Why do more places not do this? Rose was in Heaven :)

We made another visit to the newest little members of the family

And visited with the oldest member of our family

Rose took a camping trip with her grandparents and great-grandparents and Mommy and Daddy made the most of our weekend :)

Sometimes on a Tuesday you eat ice cream with a candle...because you can :)

We also took a family camping trip to a new park in Delaware with a pool :)

June 2019

YAY for the start of summer vacation :) Although Rose is really the only one who had a change of schedule we are all enjoying the fun of summer and making lots of family memories.

We started off even before the end of school with a camping trip to our favorite spot: Cape Henlopen. This year we have added bikes to our camping gear and were able to explore even more of the park.

AND we saw dolphins...a lot of dolphins :)

Rose had a great year as a first grader and made lots of memories.

We celebrated the official end of school with a trip to Knoebels!

All our weekends were pretty full with Rose's dance recital

and a trip to Lego Discovery for Father's Day the following weekend :)

That was followed by another camping trip to Hickory Run where we had friends join us for part of the time. 

While we were busy making memories, our garden was busy growing and we have harvested our first zucchini which we turned into yummy bread :)

And our two little chicks are growing up pretty fast too!

Rose and I also made some pretty awesome paintings:)

 

We enjoyed Toy Story 4 with the grandparents and family

And had Kate's baby shower

AND met with newest cousins :)

June was SUPER fun, but went by so fast! Slow down Summer we want to make lots of memories :)

May 2019

Our month was filled with time outside, friends, and little ones :) 

We decided to up our family activity and all purchased new bikes! Rose has become a great bike rider and I always love to find things we can enjoy together. 

We had a visit from Becky and her kiddos and can't wait to visit them sometime this summer :)

 We met our piano teacher's new baby

And saw lots of Rose's cousins!

Rose and Justin went on her 1st grade field trip to the Philly Zoo...everyone had a great time and came home exhausted. Rose said her favorite thing was the cats sleeping on the roof :)

Rose showed off some of her artwork at her spring open house and art show.

We had our 6 month dental checkup. Rose had a tiny cavity that needed filling but luckily the pediatric dentist is across the street from Yum Yum Bakery :)

Rose had a sleepover with Aunt Kate and Ellie while Mom and Dad got to go on a brewery tour.

Rose got a new pool to keep her toes cool

We embarked on our first camping trip of 2019 and tried a new place Gifford Pinchot...we loved our spot and will definitely plan to go back!
