Here we go, 2021!!

No worries, these faces are not about 2021, but the chip tasting we completed on January 1 since we ran out of time on New Year's Eve. Obviously this flavor was not a fave :)

A new year and new projects! Finally some lighting in our living room!

We still have our Christmas kitten with us and have been enjoying watching her grow. Her personality is also starting to emerge...she's spunky or sleepy :)

Rose and Justin also finished their special pet Christmas present and it's a hit :)

Rose and mommy ventured out for a very socially distance event at Da Vinci Science Center to meet some animals.

We also joined some cousins at the Reading Museum.

Also Justin's hunt for the 'perfect' camper has been completed :) We can't wait for all our adventures in Blue Moon...after it's total remodel!

Merry December!

Yay for our favorite time of year filled with so many special traditions! Much of what we typically do was still safe with COVID, just with the addition of masks. But honestly, they are great at keeping our noses warm, so that's a win :)

We headed to a local tree farm and Rose chose a beautiful con color. Last year's tree was a shedding mess, so we had thought about a different type, but we so love the smell of oranges this tree provides.

This was a REALLY big tree for our home, but we have enjoyed the festive spirit she proclaims.

Even our newest family member helped with tree decorating...or UN-decorating as she prefers :)

Rose's growing ornament collection:

And we made our funny 2020 ornament with tiny toilet paper :)

Although fostering is slowing down right now, we were lucky enough to have just a single kitten for the holidays, meet Snowball!

Rose's chickens are doing well and Clair would really like to meet them!

We made our annual holiday cookies and Rose is becoming an exceptional cookie decorator!

We had a change of plans (luckily 2020 has taught us that sometimes plan B is even better) and enjoyed seeing local holiday lights and going on a scavenger hunt!

We also made it to the Glick's Poinsettia Show

All month long Elizabeth the Elf visited Rose to play some fun tricks while waiting for Christmas to arrive.

We even got to see Santa and some of his buddies this year!

Rose participated in her first Zoom Christmas piano recital :) This one was pretty neat, all the participants recorded their pieces and then we watched the performances together from the comfort of our homes.

Christmas Eve was lots of fun for all. Rose started off the day with a candy Pinata from Aunt Laura!

Then we celebrated Christmas Eve with Nana and Pop and the Bechtel cousins.

Christmas Day we enjoyed the morning together at home and then headed to Grandpa and Grandma's

Rose with her newest cousin!

Rose has been enjoying all her gifts and time off from school to play and just relax! It's been good for all of us!

Rose has one last special project that she is working on for her pets :)

2020 will not be a year soon forgotten and that's a great thing! There were highs and lows for our family, along with lots of joy and important lessons. We celebrated the last night of 2020 with some fun!

Here is Rose's Year in Review Interview for 2020!

November 2020

We camped in November! A first for us and of course 2020 is a year for lots of firsts :) We found a campground with an open spot and enjoyed a bonus night of camping we didn't think we would have in 2020.

Rose was a trooper and no worries, she stayed nice and toasty :)

And the next day was gorgeous for exploring a new park

And even getting out on the water :)

We took a break this month from fostering kittens and loved on our pets :)

This one has been the perfect fit for our family and keeps us on our toes :)

Rose has continued to have her piano lessons via Zoom and they are going so well! Of course, she misses having lessons in person, but overall this is working.

We are making the most of all the time we are getting to spend together.

We're pulling some old games off the shelf and having lots of fun.

Thanksgiving was different this year, but still with lots of dessert

Rose chose to have pink and blue bands on her braces due to a new little cousin due to arrive this month...

And it was a little girl

We also started getting into the Christmas spirit with some holiday traditions

Look at all those years of Rose!

This years fun ornament was a nod to the most sought out paper product of 2020 :)

Rose is also helping build a special present for her pets
