All the LOVE 2024

We've had a great month filled with each other and lots of things we love!

Rose completed a tiny library diorama 

I got a new comfy chair and finished my purple afghan

Justin and Rose discovered a love for freeze-dried candy

We also got a good start on a little library (stay tuned) so we can share books we have loved 

And, of course, we filled Rose's door with things we love about our kiddo :)

We also took a mini vacation down to Baltimore to visit the National Aquarium. 

I touched jellies...and Rose touched me...so it's kinda like she touched one :)

We had a beautiful hotel room with a view of the water

And we were able to enjoy the view and cobblestone streets

On our walk to dinner (of course I had crab cakes!)

After our return Justin and Rose got to enjoy a real snow day while mom was at work, boo :(

When mom's away Rose does what she wants!

Here we go 2024!!

 

Welcome 2024!! None of us made it to midnight, but we had lots of fun the last few days of Rose's winter break including snuggles with the newest cousin :)

Although there wasn't snow on Christmas, we enjoyed it when we finally had some.

After a weekend of snow we headed out to breakfast, but Rose did not want to be pictured :(

Rose also had her first virtual day of the year. She had a great setup at Pop's shop including two computers and lots of snacks!

Rose was selected to play in the 6th grade county band. She received several pieces to learn and then this awesome group of students came together and learned to play together in just one day before preforming!

Field trips are back including parent chaperones!! Justin and Rose went to the PA Farmshow with:

Goats

Milkshakes

and Butterflies!

In the fall I changed nursing jobs and decided to take a position in the OR. Since they provide the scrubs, I got some cute caps to accessorize :)

And Rose loves to support keeping nurses employed with her many healthcare visits. Luckily, she is a pretty health kid and besides a cold, this winter has been pretty easy :)

   We had a Merry and Bright December :)

Our Elf, Elizabeth, came back with lots of silliness to help us have some fun waiting for Christmas

Rose also decided to change it up this year with a jam countdown calendar...some were yummy and some were not!

We completed this wreath for the annual poinsettia show at the local greenhouse. In my opinion, it was totally the best...maybe we'll try again next year :)

We also got to spend time with friends and enjoy a holiday train ride

And dinner with some Christmas friends!

Our cute foster kittens are enjoying the holiday season...or at least eating the decorations :)

Rose got to wear festive PJ's to school 

Rose had a special visitor at school when she needed her braces fixed. She got the rest of her braces on and it was a rough week, but it's going better!

We got to hear Rose play her instruments in the winter concert

We took Rose to her first concert. We all follow Lindsey Stirling and her concert was even better in person!! 

We drove around several nights to see lights and found this road:

Nana had her second hip operated on and we visited her at rehab...luckily she made it home by Christmas

And we celebrated Pop's birthday with dinner out

And his favorite cake :)

Christmas 2023 Ornament!!

We had a wonderful Christmas including lots of celebrations with family and wonderful gifts!

Rose finally used her Christmas Tree cake pan from last year

New ceiling fan for her room and fresh sheets and blankets (lots of blankets)

Rose also enjoyed her Christmas break with lots of trips to Target

And Chic Fil A 

We also got to see a movie and Rose snuck in a little popcorn...don't tell her orthodontist ;)

We waited for 2024 with some fun games. Most of these were from Instagram with a few modifications. Fun was had by all except for a few of the oreo combinations...

Some of our favorite memories from 2023 :) It's been a great year and we are excited for 2024!!
