May 2021

It's been a busy month for Rose's left leg...

She started the month in a cast

We said good-bye to the purple leg

And hello to a boot

And got to start therapy in the pool (Rose was not sad about this)

THEN we said see ya later to the boot and welcome to just a soft brace (although now Rose has to do therapy on land and she doesn't love that as much...)

We also had transition for our first group of foster kittens...How is started:

And right before they left for the forever homes:

This group taught us A LOT and we loved them A LOT :) Luckily they were all adopted super quick and are now with their forever families :)

That wasn't our only kitten news...we got to kitty sit for one of our fosters from last year who was adopted by a coworker. Pascal, now Chessie, got to stay with us for a week. He had been one of Rose's favorite kittens and they reconnected in no time :)

We also tackled some more tie-dying and did some projects for the cousins...

Look how cute this crew is!!

The highlight of our month was a wonderful first camping trip to our 'happy place'

We also had some other fun with a bus ride for ice cream,

building new Lego sets,

playing family games,

some water fun with Lily...she fell in,

and eating a lot of our new favorite cookies :)

Birthday Month :)

It happened, I should have known for the past 3,640, that this day would arrive, but it caught me off-guard, my baby is 10! While that was the most exciting, this month kept us busy :)

How it started:

How it's going:

We started off the month with our first group of foster kittens.

Introducing: Jelly Bean, Hops, Peeps, and Pascal!

We also made some delicious cakes for our Easter celebrations, well at least I was proud of myself:

Rose and I made the most of our spring break with a few outings. We headed to the Hands on House for some fun. My sweet kid decided to help out the little ones, by assisting in keeping the shelves stocked so they could shop.

We also made a trip to the Reading Museum to check-out their Storytime exhibit. Most of the stories have been favorites of ours, but a couple were new and it was fun to bring the stories to life!

AND just because she can, she threw us for a loop and decided to celebrate turning 10 with a purple cast :) Rose tripped over third base and ended up with a fracture...I will not miss her crutches

Our birthday animal balloon countdown...

Birthday Eve was lots of fun with an early treat

And out for a late dinner

We had some help wrapping Rose's gifts...

Success!!

After presents it was off to the zoo. Rose did not mind having a power scooter to use...she might always want to take it!

This beautiful cake made Rose so happy. A local, very talented baker, did an amazing job and it was delicious too!

Then on Sunday we delivered birthday cupcakes to the cousins

And bus rides :)

We also took an extra day to celebrate Justin and Rose with some family fun on Wednesday.

And a trip to Justin's favorite brewery :)

Happy Happy April to us :)
