November 2021

Rose decided she wanted to hike the Appalachian Trial, so we found a trail and hiked to the Pulpit Rock. It was a beautiful day and Rose was an amazing hiker! Not sure she wants to do it again soon...but we'll tackle it again.

We haven't gotten to see Aunt Kate/Uncle Jon and the kiddos in a bit so we took them dinner and cupcakes!

I don't remember exactly what prompted this picture, but it seems Rose likes what she was eating and this is pretty typical for our home :)

We also made a trip out to Troegs...it's been awhile and that's enough of a reason ;)

Rose and I had a day of appointments, both the orthopedist (her thumb is all healed) and the orthodontist (she broke another bracket with less than a month to go) so we had to stop for lunch!

We also made a quick trip to Virginia for the BEST reason, Marla got married :)

AND we got to puppy sit for Marla; we LOVE her dogs :)

Also this kiddo had to get new boots for the wedding...she is now a woman's size 7!

Rose also sampled some 'southern delicacies' with Bojangles Cinnamon rolls, they were really good!

I didn't get many pictures of Thanksgiving...but we enjoyed the day with family and lots of food!

This month I was learning injections at school. So when mom learns how to give injections, so does Rose...she's pretty good! If you need a shot let her know!

We decided to switch to a fake tree this year...and I am super excited with how it turned out!
Pumpkin likes it too :) So far we've only lost a few ornaments! And Lily tried to eat the lights :(

And at night

I was looking for a Thanksgiving quote and came across this: “Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” -Robert Brault. The whole reason we have kept this blog running to long is to be able to look back at our baby girl and all the amazing memories we've made, both big and small!!

October

I might be biased, but I wait all year for October :)

“I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

I might be biased, but I wait all year for October :) And to take advantage of all the wonderfulness of October, we went camping one more time! This girl enjoyed the fall foliage :)

We enjoyed a ride around the lake and an October sunset

In the middle of the woods is this climber...so we climbed it :)

Rose always finds a way to make the van into her own special space when we go camping. This time we had a site with electric so she has her own heater and a pencil sharpener in there ;)

Some Bug Bingo (of course Rose won all the dollars!)

And a wonderful fire with a lake view! Yay for October :)

Rose has continued to love the violin

And Rose doesn't mind helping out mom when she needs to work for a few hours. As long as there's lunch and some fun at a playground too :)

And, of course, I love October because it is my birthday month! This is how we celebrate 39!! We had a wonderful dinner out at my favorite local restaurant and then went grocery shopping...because that's what 39 year old's do :)

And just to keep this month interesting Rose decided to fracture her thumb while getting undressed...only this kid!

After lunch with some friends in KOP Rose had to go to the Container Store...yup, she's my kid :) I guess it was meant to be because we even had a rainbow!

AND of course we went to the mall, after buying some awesome Lego's we needed a fun treat. These are puffed cereal frozen with nitrogen...super cool and yummy :)

We also made sure to spend lots of time getting ready for Halloween with all the fun activities.

Rose's theme for her pumpkin was to place her baby pumpkin in jail...I have no idea what that poor little guy did.

I think my mummy dogs turning out pretty spooky!

We also made a trip to the Lehigh Valley Zoo...we meant to get back this summer and well we didn't, but we got to see lots of the animals out playing and enjoying the fall weather.

On the way for a thumb check-up at the end of the month we saw a 2nd rainbow!

Justin and Rose have been working on Justin's EARLY Christmas present :)

All done :)

Halloween Festivities!! We celebrated all weekend long!
Rose's class was able to have a fall party this year!

Rose and daddy had some daddy-daughter time at a trick or treating event at the local fire station on Friday night.

We got to do our first Trunk or Treat on Saturday! Rose loved handing out treats and is already looking forward to next year :)

Mommy and Daddy were the animals for Rose's vet clinic.

And then we started off Halloween with some fun and spooky pancakes

And then fueled up with carved stuffed peppers before heading out for lots of treats!

Rose was hard at work

And kept going....

She was not disappointed with her loot!
