December 2022- the end of a year :)

We had a month full of memories with family and friends to bring another year to a wonderful end as we look forward to 2023!

We started off the month with a visit from one of Justin's oldest friends and his family who have all become our friends :) Somehow whenever we get together there is always something with water...

We did Christmas shopping all month and one of the great things about having a bigger kid is that she will do all the wrapping!!!

Rose had her first Middle School concert for both band and orchestra. We are so proud of all her practicing and dedication to music!

We loved this picture of our girl doing one of her favorite things so much it became our annual ornament.

Rose loves going to the annual Poinsettia Show at Glick's Greenhouse and this year we took Justin along....

The wreath these two made was gorgeous and although it didn't win a prize we had a great time making it and are enjoying it :)

We took a trip down to VA to visit family.

Pop and Nana sent a very large piece of chocolate for Colten...Aunt Laura was not excited.

He also got this cool Lego set and built it all by himself!

Laura surprised us with an adult only night out and we went to the cutest speakeasy for some drinks!

We were able to build another gingerbread house at Frecon Farms. Rose did most of it with a stellar chimney contributed by Justin, Our house won 'Most Festive'.

This was the first time we did it in 2018, look at how my girl has changed!

We have some special birthday's in December:

All month we enjoyed Rose's Elf, Elizabeth's antics...this one was a favorite: Super Elf!

Pop had his annual Christmas Party and Rose was a hit with the littles :)

We got together with family on Christmas Eve-Eve and this was the sweetest picture of Rose and her Aunt Jenni!

Everyone got a present or two on Christmas Eve, I got this fuzzy blanket which I think Rose picked out in the hopes I would share...which I will :)

Yay for Christmas morning!! Our big kid still loves a good pile of presents and all the Christmas festivities, so we indulge.

This was the first year of no little kid toys, dolls, Barbies...instead she got fun new clothing, luggage for an upcoming trip, some art supplies, and a game.

She also got a Soda Stream from Nana which she has been asking for and asking for :)

After Christmas we took Rose for new shoes, because if you haven't seen from all the above pictures, she's always growing!
Which ones do you think she chose?

The winners!!! And they're a 9.5 if you were wondering :)

We also went to Lowe's with Justin...Justin shopped for tools and Rose tried out all the fridges :)

We had a great week off with time with family and visits from friends, but I planned a special mommy-daughter day! There's a game where you have two options and the person blindly picks one. I wanted Rose to enjoy our day so I had her give me some things she liked and we set off!!
First stop was Starbucks or Wawa for drinks, it was Wawa:

Next we headed to Learning Express and Rose got to pick a new science kit or squishmellow. She picked the science kit and then bought herself the quishmellow :)

Next up was lunch, the choice was Chick-fil-A or Panera: Rose picked Panera!

We moved onto an activity and it was either the Reading Museum or Busy Bees...Busy Bees was picked and we painted pottery :)

We ended the day with a sweet treat either Crumbl or Sweet Ride (to be fair Rose picked Crumbl, but requested a swap). The point was to a have a fun day, so we ended with what she wanted :)

We came home and broke out the science kit! I had the bestest day with my girl :)

We decided to all stay up until midnight for New Year's Eve and have a family sleepover in the living room.
We played BINGO, watched Wednesday, and ate lots of food :)

We also went over some of our favorite 2022 memories:

We made it to midnight!! Good-bye 2022 and Hello 2023!!
