Thankful for everything :)

Soooo this happened again...BRACES for Rose. She'll have this set on for a couple years, but she's being a great sport about it :)

Rose has also *FINALLY* agreed to a room redo!! She has had the same paint since her first night in our home, so some fresh color was overdue.

And while we were at it, we updated the curtains and got some new furniture!

There's a few other things the room is getting for Christmas and then this preteen should be all set for the next few years :)

We are really enjoying fostering these two cuties and they seem pretty happy to be with us too :)

Also this is the kittens favorite time of year...I buy from Amazon just for the boxes :)

We made it out to Troegs to see Rose's clarinet teacher play, it's always fun to combine things we enjoy and spend time together.

Rose created another fabulous wreath for the Glick's Poinsettia Show.

And we celebrated by going out to eat

For Thanksgiving these two got to work pealing 5 pounds of potatoes!

And then they needed to rest :)

Rose had to hunch down so Aunt Kate would look taller in this photo.

After Thanksgiving it's time for all things Christmas!!

Let there be October :)

It was a great month full bookended with unplanned camping trips we were able to squeeze in thanks to some nice weather!!

We started the month off with Hickory Run State Park

And finished the month with Colonel Denning State Park

We also had a hot family date to see Rose's clarinet teacher play at a local restaurant on a school night!

Of course, we saw the Taylor Swift movie :) Maybe someday we'll actually get tickets to a live show, but this was fun and there was popcorn!

And we made it back to Knoebels for their Fall Fest...it was packed!!
But Justin and Rose got on the Phoenix 6 times and even made it to the front several times!

Rose was also the carousel ring champion in our family with 11 rings! Earlier this summer Rose was sure her arm would leave her body if she grabbed a ring, but we are happy to report she still has both arms :)

We are also fostering kittens again!!! These two cuties are actually 7 months old and had never left the shelter. They are super sweet and are learning not to chew computers and plants...

Justin and Rose built Pop a new chair...we think he's mostly going to be taking naps in this :)

This year Rose ditched her parents and went around trick or treating with friends.

Next to camping my favorite thing about this month was our family pictures!!!
Look at my girl :)

Here comes FALL :)

We started off September with a visit from cousin Payton and her little one, Paisley :)

Paisley loved our chickens

And going to parks

September had lots more warm days for us to enjoy outside, even when it was rainy

We also got a few pumpkins from our unexpected pumpkin patch!

This was Rose's picture day outfit :)

Rose also made it to the Oley Fair, but so did everyone else and she refused to wait in the french fry line...just burgers and funnel cake this year

Rose also has decided that her bedroom needs some updates since she is now a preteen. No more book nook and instead a new built in closet made by Rose and Justin.

And some paint colors...we'll see what wins...

Speaking of paint, the camper got some fresh paint before her first trip

She made it and except for a few hiccups, she had a great first camping trip!

We got in one last paddle for the year

We took out our bikes and discovered Rose is ready for the next size bike because she kept riding mine!

Before our second camping trip, we got a few new appliances for the camper

And Justin and Rose tested out some new cushioning for the beds...

Justin also had time to cover the seat cushions with some new fabric

Our second trip out with the camper was much comfier and festive!!

We got a bike ride in (with Rose's new bike) to an ice cream shop and we all tried to take a picture at the same time :)

And we hiked to some waterfalls.
