April...Part 1

Here's the start of April because by the end of the month, I'm gonna have a 4 year old!!!

Good Friday we had a play date including a bounce house!

And then...where else...FIVE GUYS!!!

We took Rose to another Easter Egg Hunt

And found some muddy puddles

We gave Rose her Easter basket on Saturday because why not???

 Happy Easter!

Rose had a great Easter including getting to see lots of family and eating lots of candy!

 We even stopped at a park!

The week started out great! 

We went to parks, fed ducks, started getting stuff together for Rose's birthday...

Had a great Mommy-Daughter riding lesson

Then everything changed...Rose woke up from her nap on Tuesday and said asked me to wash her sheets...when I asked why she said she thought she 'puked'...yes, she did! And all Tuesday night :(

Wednesday she took 2 morning naps with Meow and an afternoon nap. She hardly left my bed, poor little girl.

I thought we were in the clear on Wednesday when she didn't throw up all day...then 7pm she tosses her cookies. 

Thursday she was good :) She was up and playing and wanted to go out, but mommy said she had to be 24 hours with no puking...

Does anyone else remember this puzzle type thing? I LOVED playing with it and my mom found one for Rose!

She was pretending her feet were broken...

Then....Justin started feeling queezy....and by Friday I was sick :(

 So Justin, Nana, and I did our best to keep Rose happy, since she was finally feeling better and didn't want to lie around with sickie parents!

Luckily by Saturday we were mostly over it and I headed back to work. Justin sent me this picture of him making dinner...I have no idea why Rose is holding a grater like a sword...

Luckily for Rose, when you're sick you get a toy from Pop! She enjoyed her new bath toy ;)

By Sunday we were all back to pretty much normal, so Rose and I headed to our 'happy place' :)

We also headed outside to enjoy the wonderful weather...

And by Monday we were back to feeding the ducks!

I got curtains!!!!! I know this may not seem like a great feat, but it is...it really is.

More park time on Wednesday 

Thursday we decided to get pedicures both for babies

  and for mommy and Rose :)

Hey Daddy...in case you are missing some tools check the fridge ;)

Friday we ended the week with some fun activities: giving babies a bath (no pics because Rose was naked too), painting, and jumping in the trampoline WHILE putting on lip gloss :)

Saturday Rose got some early birthday presents from her grandparents:

And a bike to keep at the grandparents house!

Rose and Daddy spent lots of time outside Saturday while mommy worked :(

Sunday we all got to enjoy the nice weather!

Rose gave her babies their first outside bath of the season.

And we did some outside artwork!

While Monday was a bit dreary we still had lots of fun!

Rose was checking the tire pressure before going for a ride...I bet her daddy taught her ;)

including playing with another early birthday present from Aunt Kate and Uncle Jon...Rose made a roll-a-coaster for her doll house babies. Isn't that fantastic? :)

Ok, that's it....by the next post our little flower will be 4 (insert crying momma here)!

March

So before we could enjoy Spring, there was still MANY days of snow in March and Rose made the most of it! I think no one enjoys snow more than Rose and Tahnee :)

This snowman was HUGE and the last little bit of snowman just melted in our yard ;(

Funny story...Rose used a chair to unlock the gate and get out, but then forgot to leave the gate open to get back in, we let her in :)

Rose still takes care of feeding the birdies all winter long.

Some cute kitten pictures (and it isn't that we don't love our older cat too, but he wants NOTHING to do with being in pictures or the new kitten!)

Rose also got back to taking some riding lessons and had a lesson together with mommy! I hope there is lots of riding in our future (and daddy works overtime to pay for some horses!)

Food, we eat every day ;) Rose really gets the best when it comes to eating out because both Justin and I take her out and we all go out together. Her favorite place BY FAR is still Five Guys...she even plays Five Guys at home...

And to top all that off, what's one little donut?

We also celebrated Uncle Matt and Aunt Jenni's upcoming baby (who is probably going to arrive on Rose's birthday and she will LOVE her birthday present!).

Along with some other gifts I made a baby afghan for Matt and Jenni's little one and a matching miniature version for Rose to use with her babies!

That same weekend we also traveled 3 hours to VA to see cousin Regan compete in a gymnastics. Although it was a very long day, it was great to see Rose with her cousins and Regan was totally awesome and did great!

Play...it's what we do best!!!

Oh, Rose was making guacamole just like she had seen when we went out for dinner :)

Rose decided to have a sleepover with her babies in mommy's bed :)

And we were able to be outside...not just in daddy's pole barn! Bring on Spring!

...but we did play in daddy's pole barn too!

Nana had a birthday! Happy Birthday Nana :)

EGG HUNT! Rose loved collecting eggs and although I asked her a couple times if she had enough, she kept saying she wanted to get more!

We also went on a train ride again this year with the Peeps!

AND found an 'old school' playground after the train ride where Rose had her first true see-saw experience!!!

 

Bring on April...it's sure to be lots of fun with 2 birthday in our house!!!
