Merry December!

Yay for our favorite time of year filled with so many special traditions! Much of what we typically do was still safe with COVID, just with the addition of masks. But honestly, they are great at keeping our noses warm, so that's a win :)

We headed to a local tree farm and Rose chose a beautiful con color. Last year's tree was a shedding mess, so we had thought about a different type, but we so love the smell of oranges this tree provides.

This was a REALLY big tree for our home, but we have enjoyed the festive spirit she proclaims.

Even our newest family member helped with tree decorating...or UN-decorating as she prefers :)

Rose's growing ornament collection:

And we made our funny 2020 ornament with tiny toilet paper :)

Although fostering is slowing down right now, we were lucky enough to have just a single kitten for the holidays, meet Snowball!

Rose's chickens are doing well and Clair would really like to meet them!

We made our annual holiday cookies and Rose is becoming an exceptional cookie decorator!

We had a change of plans (luckily 2020 has taught us that sometimes plan B is even better) and enjoyed seeing local holiday lights and going on a scavenger hunt!

We also made it to the Glick's Poinsettia Show

All month long Elizabeth the Elf visited Rose to play some fun tricks while waiting for Christmas to arrive.

We even got to see Santa and some of his buddies this year!

Rose participated in her first Zoom Christmas piano recital :) This one was pretty neat, all the participants recorded their pieces and then we watched the performances together from the comfort of our homes.

Christmas Eve was lots of fun for all. Rose started off the day with a candy Pinata from Aunt Laura!

Then we celebrated Christmas Eve with Nana and Pop and the Bechtel cousins.

Christmas Day we enjoyed the morning together at home and then headed to Grandpa and Grandma's

Rose with her newest cousin!

Rose has been enjoying all her gifts and time off from school to play and just relax! It's been good for all of us!

Rose has one last special project that she is working on for her pets :)

2020 will not be a year soon forgotten and that's a great thing! There were highs and lows for our family, along with lots of joy and important lessons. We celebrated the last night of 2020 with some fun!

Here is Rose's Year in Review Interview for 2020!
