Happy 14 Months to our super awesome little girl!
And Happy 6 Years of Marriage to us!
First (as always) let's talk about Rose:
-Rose is way too mobile. She is practically running around the house and outside. She can step in and out the the baby pool, climb up ladders, and up slides! Nothing is out of this kiddos reach :)
-Rose is stacking all 5 rings by herself and is starting to slide puzzle pieces into place with a little assistance.
-Rose eats all table foods and is able to get the spoon her her mouth. She is also drinking out of small open cups with very little assistance.
-Rose is starting to use an isolated finger to point to items and people.
-Rose continues to get every other week speech therapy and her session this past week was the best by far. She is imitating more facial gestures (thanks to uncle Matt), babbling, and using a few words like dada very consistently. We have also taught her some signs: eat, all done, and me. Sometimes it also seems that she comes out with a random word. While the word isn't clear you can tell that she is trying to repeat with her intonation. We think we have heard candy and sunglasses...
-Rose will identify 2-3 body parts depending on her mood when asked
-Rose absolutely LOVES all things water, dirt, and sand. We have the best time outside playing together in the evenings.
-Rose is also pretty social, if she is in a good mood and can see someone she knows she will explore new places and walk up to new people, especially kids.
-Rose also continues to sleep like a CHAMP. To prove this she slept through 4 nights of road construction outside our home the past week.
Now on to us...
So 6 years ago Justin and I celebrated our marriage with family and friends. It was a beautiful day and each day since has brought us closer together. If asked then what life would be like 6 years from then, we would never have guessed this is where we would be: but I was kind of right. Justin likes to remind me that one day when we were talking (before we were dating) I told him he was the kind of guy that would end up with a nice little family and a white picket fence. WELL, except for the fence just being natural wood, I was right :)

Sunday Snap Shots
Here we are at another Sunday, today is SUPER special though because it is also Father's Day!
Rose (with Nana's help) picked out this awesome gift for her daddy...he absolutely LOVES it (and her).
We enjoyed another not so hectic week and had lots of family time together this weekend. Saturday morning we went on some errands to a local greenhouse for a sale on perennials and then stopped at a farm stand were we found some fresh blueberries, peas, and cherries. Rose LOVES cherries (just like her daddy).
Rose and I also took daddy out for dinner, I had a 'mom fail' moment and forgot a bib, but Rose actually decided to just eat and not wear her food :)
Rose also got a wonderful new toy this weekend when Grandma found a kitchen at a yard sale.
Unfortunately we also suffered the 'wrath of Rose' several times this weekend, when we did not take her cuteness outside fast enough. Rose knows when we are getting ready to go outside and she gets so excited, that if we are not quick enough, she starts SCREAMING! Overall, Rose is really a sweet and easy little girl, but this afternoon during several tantrums I was ready to take a nice cruise without her :)
On a happy note, after she calmed down we did have lots of fun outside and a nice weekend overall.
Preview: Next weekend Justin and I will be celebrating 6 years of marriage...and Rose will be reaching her 14 month milestone. We have all decided that Justin and I can go away for one evening with Rose staying at our home with my parents watching her. This is the first night we will be away from each other, and this momma is a bit nervous. So by this time next Sunday, I will let you know how it all goes!

Sunday Snap Shots
Well we did it, FINALLY, we had a very uninteresting week followed by a lovely weekend :) Here are some pictures to prove what a great weekend we all had!
Rose eats cantaloupe like a big kid and she will just eat piece after piece all the way down with no teeth!
Rose also got some new summer sandals which she can take off all on her own, that may not be a super thing...
We discovered Tahnee loves the kiddie pool and yes, Rose and I are still in our PJ's :)
We spent LOTS of time playing outside...
...and inside
My mom and I went to tea at the Gilbertsville Tea Room thanks to a great deal from Groupon
And we ended the weekend with Rose's first trip to Grandpa and Grandma's pool and even daddy got it!
Well here's hoping for another boring week!!!

Sunday Snap Shots
Well this week was a bit slower paced and much enjoyed by this mama! Everyone is FINALLY feeling better and Rose is back to her very happy little self. In fact she has been so happy, she just starts giggling for no reason, but we love it :)
So what were we up to all week, you might ask?
Rose got a sandbox last Sunday and although she took a few days to warm up to the idea of sand in every nook and crevasse, she is now a pro at playing in the sandbox.
Uh-oh, she found another set of keys! Luckily she was spotted before she had a chance to put them in a special place where mommy and daddy would have to spend hours looking for them.
Hide and seek in the door, why that's a great idea!
Ok, I know this might sound a little strange, but last week I found a recipe for Avocado Banana Ice Cream. Yes, it does sound like a weird combo, but it is very delicious and healthy (I left out most of the sugar from the recipe).
Besides the sandbox, we just spent lots of time outside this week. We went for rides, walks, and just hung out in the great outdoors. Sometimes we almost feel trapped in the house, so it is really nice that we can now expand our play area to outside.
Oh, and we broke out the ball pit again. Rose got this as a gift from her cousins around Christmas time. After playing with it for awhile we packed it up until she was a bit older. Well we finally blew it back up and Rose has had the best time throwing her balls all over the house.
And what better way to end a great weekend then with a chocolate chip cookie :)
Justin and I also had our first 'home' date night. Why we didn't think of this months ago I will blame on him, but we picked up dinner from Chipotle and a movie from Redbox; so while Rose slept Saturday night we had some wonderful parent time. I also got to celebrate my friend Rachel's birthday this afternoon. Her husband threw a surprise party for her and rather then play party games we made jewelry :) I thought this was really fun and now have a new obsession with making jewelry in all my {spare} time!
