Happy Holidays! (and other fun stuff)

We started off December with our annual Lego Friends Calendar. This years had an animal theme with cute little critters and homes for them. Mommy is the sleepy head in the family, so this year we placed the calendar in our bedroom so I didn't miss out on the opening each day :)

We had a free Saturday morning where Justin wasn't installing dishwashers, so we headed to Shady Maple...Rose is letting everyone know that her parents let her have not 1, but 2 slushies for breakfast :)

We made Justin the cherry pie he missed out on for Thanksgiving because we were sick, he said it was worth the wait :)

Rose has continued to allow some hairstyles...I might need to up my game with some new styles in my repertoire.

Between Rose and her pets the house is never quiet. Whiskers enjoys when I get out my yoga mat...

Lily got a new sweater for the winter season and is now referred to as 'princess Lily'.

Nothing to see here, just Rose hanging around...

Rose is a great little helper in making angel food cakes and I love that she separates all the eggs!

We were too full after breakfast celebrating Pop's birthday to eat the cake, but Rose enjoyed playing with her cousin.

Rose is definitely in the Christmas spirit...this ensemble is the tree skirt, some ribbon from the tree, and last years New Year's tiara.

Rose has enjoyed all the snow and even Lily seems to enjoy it more this year!

We had our first Santa spotting

And were able to see some more Christmas lights.

Rose enjoyed an early Christmas gift from Pop...wonder why he wouldn't want Rose to open this at his home??? Yup, she really wanted packing peanuts :)

On Christmas Eve we baked and decorated cutout cookies . Rose is quite the artist with frosting.

Then we had dinner at the Henne's house.

Rose had a hard time sleeping that night but she finally made it to Christmas morning! First, we opened presents at home.

Since Christmas Rose has become a master of tricks on this bar...it's fun (and a little terrifying) to watch her :)

Then we had breakfast and more presents at Nana and Pops.

Then we had lunch and MORE presents at Grandma and Grandpas.

On New Years Eve, Rose was determined to stay up till midnight to welcome in the new year so we did lots of things to keep awake.

First was the annual blindfolded chip tasting.

We played Dogopoly and watched a movie.

On every hour we set off some confetti poppers then at 11pm we had a silly string battle.

We did make it to New Years but forgot to take pictures!!oops.
