I realize that Rose has accomplished some new milestones that I have written about! Mostly our little flower is a motor baby and so she is always trying to 'do' more and new things with her little self.
Rose is now:
-standing up without any support
-walking unassisted and even stepping up over our threshold
-climbing up a whole flight of stairs (she tries to fly down them, we are encouraging the sit and scoot method)
-clapping her hands and banging toys
-blowing kisses (I have to take grandma's word for this, because Rose won't do it for me)
(please don't look at the REALLY dirty socks)
Rose is also becoming more vocal (we are still waiting on a consonant vowel sound...). She seems to have found her voice and enjoys yelling and she is on a blowing raspberries kick again too :)
Rose continues to be a terrific eater and now that she is {just about} one, there are a bunch more foods we can try. We have also transitioned Rose from breast milk to cow milk, so no more pumping for mommy!!! Initially we tried some Hemp milk and some cow milk, but Rose knows the difference and right now will only drink the cow milk. We will probably try the hemp milk again later.
She's making sure that daddy got all the yogurt out of the container!
Sleeping is also terrific!! Rose takes a morning and afternoon nap for 1-2 1/2 hours and sleeps from about 7pm until 6:30am. She had gone through a period of protesting last week, but we knew she was not sick or in pain, so we stuck to our routine, and she is back to going down without a peep :)
So Tuesday is the big day. I am taking the day off to spend with Rose and I will post lots of pictures of the fun things we do :)
