Sunday Snap Shots

Whew! It was a busy week for us :) We celebrated two birthdays this week, had a wonderful party on Saturday, and a play date Sunday.

Justin and I took off on Friday to go together with Rose for her 1 year well visit (thankfully all her visits this first year were just well visits, hopefully this continues). Well Rose is proportional, she is in the 6, 7, and 8th percentiles for head circumference, weight, and height. Justin and I both have small/short people in our families, so maybe Rose won't be playing basketball ;) Anyway she is growing and healthy, so that is what matters.

Friday was also Justin's birthday! I did take him out for a nice lunch, but other then that the day was spent getting ready for Rose's big party. I think we will try to celebrate her birthday one weekend and his the next, but I really didn't want to celebrate her first birthday until she was actually 1. I do feel kind of bad that he had to spend most of his birthday cleaning...

So Saturday was Rose's PARTY! We packed about 20 family and friends into our home to celebrate. Usually Justin and I are wondering why we need so much space for 3 people, but Saturday everyone just fit :) We had a really great time and appreciate all the beautiful gifts Rose was given, but mostly that we could share this exciting time with people we love and that love Rose!

Here are some pictures (thanks to Jeff, Matt, and Andrea for taking the pics):

I got this banner and her crown from Etsy (I love that site)

I also got clips with each month from April-April to show Rose's growth during her first year

Here are some of her favorite outfits from the onsie she wore home to her Easter dress, there is also the food I put out for the party, it looks like I am sampling some...)

I had potted flowers with our 1 year family pictures as thank-you gifts

(You can see in the background that there is a second cake. I managed to surprise Justin with his very own birthday cake that said 'Happy Birthday Daddy' in bright pink to match Rose's cake)

Sunday Rose and I were able to spend more time with Rachel and Ethan when they came over to play. Rachel and I spent a lot of time talking cloth diapers, I am really excited that another mom wants to try cloth diapering. We were so busy talking diapers, that I forgot to take pictures.

So now that we are exhausted and really tired, it's time for Monday :(
