Happy December

I was all ready to announce that everyone in the Stillinger home was finally over the first runny nose of the season, but Rose woke up with a runny nose this morning and it has been running all day :( She isn't coughing and doesn't have a fever, so that's good at least. Aw, hopefully next week I can post we are runny nose free!

On a positive note, Rose seems to be back on track with eating. There for about a week she would scream as soon as we placed her in her highchair. We decided that she should join us for at least 2 minutes at the table and after that we would get her out, if she was not screaming (that is one behavior I do not want to reinforce!). We also let her put her stuffed animals in her chair and pretend to feed them. This week Rose sat for around 10 minutes on a few occasions and we have also adjusted our perspective too. Justin and I want to eat ;) So if Rose is at the table eating with us, that is really what we are most wanting. Since Rose is such an active little girl and rarely sits anyway, we placed a chair with arms against the table and let her stand to eat. Hey, it works! She is not screaming and we are all eating at the table. Rose has also been a ferocious eater this week and both Nana and Grandma have remarked on her increase in appetite. That may go along with the new tooth Rose got. Justin and I were totally caught off guard when a third tooth popped in on the bottom right. We have been watching to see if her second front tooth will come in, but not yet… Rose is getting her little teeth in a crazy order!

Well, just to clarify, Rose does eat seated every morning on daddy's lap when she *helps* him eat his bowl of cereal :)

Saturday was a busy day for all of us and Justin and I each got some quality time in with Rose. Justin worked on house projects in the morning, we both donated blood (I did NOT faint!), and I had a party in the afternoon. We also went to the live nativity at our church in the evening with Rose. There were two lambs and Rose LOVED them :)

Sunday was a much calmer day around our home. Justin worked on some house projects and Rose and I played and went shopping with NanaJ I cannot believe it is December already. I think we have something going each and every weekend, including hopefully getting our tree next weekend, maybe getting to Christmas Village this month, and a trip to meet Anna later in the month.

The big question will be if Rose decides on multi color or white lights for her tree this year...
