Happy Thanksgiving and Hello Christmas Season

It was a great week, it helped that we had lots of time with our little girl and lots of fun memories were made!

Rose has taken to calling her babies her 'cousins' usually Payton, Regan, and Bruce.
She takes wonderful care of them and even tucked everyone in for a nap!

Then she decided to play while the babies napped!

Tuesday they had dress-up at dance class and Rose picked this flashy little number to wear.

Snow is only fun when you have a cute little child who loves it, so I had lots of fun with Rose in the snow. We told her it was going to be snowing when she woke up on Wednesday and the first thing she asked when getting up was 'snow?'. So we bundled up and headed out...several times!

Then we headed inside to warm up with some soup by the fire!

Thanksgiving was a small gathering this year with just us and my parents for lunch. We had a relaxed meal with way too much food! (Rose wore her very best PJ's)

Rose and I made 'turkeys' for everyone's place setting :)

Rose devouring her first turkey leg!

We also saw Justin's parents in the evening and Rose saved enough room to have some raspberries for dessert; she ate everyone including some refills on those cute little fingers.

Justin said that after I left Friday morning for work, Rose kept asking to make a 'diaper casserole'. He couldn't figure out what she was talking about, but eventually with the help of YouTube he found that she wanted to make a diaper cake...but they made a diaper tank!

Justin and Rose had 'errands' to run later on Friday...why Justin chose to brave the mall on Black Friday I have no idea, but it seems they had a great daddy-daughter day!

There was also some snow and muddy puddles for fun before naptime.

When I did get home Friday night, Rose told me all about her shopping trip with daddy and then had me make a nest for her and her birds...where does this kid get these ideas?

Saturday was kinda of a blur with Justin and I both running our morning errands separetly so we could stay with Rose, who wanted nothing to do with leaving the house...who can blame her? Somedays are just 'stay at home in jammy kind of days'!

Sunday morning was the BEST day of the week. We started out with a yummy breakfast and then were on the hunt for our Christmas tree!

We headed back to Geissler Tree Farm. We had such a great time last year riding out on the wagon and cutting our own tree that we decided to do it again. I wanted a huge tree, Rose wanted a baby tree, and Justin won with a tree somewhere in the middle!

Rose wasted no time in helping to decorate the tree she picked out. I definitely think this year has been the most fun getting ready for the holidays with Rose. And next Sunday we have another family activity planned, it's gonna be a busy month!
