We had a wonderful week from our long weekend to our first
trip of the year to Knoebels J
Last Sunday (finally!) Justin decided we should get the
storage shed we have been talking about for years. The only request he had in a
house was a garage, so he has pretty much claimed the garage as his and filled
it up with his junk…I mean vintage VW parts J
So we have no room for our mower or storage in the winter for outside stuff and
Rose’s outside toys.
Monday Justin left first thing for Home Depot and spent
the rest of the day building the shed. Rose was an awesome supervisor (her
mommy is teaching her how important that position is).
We found Rose’s baby pool in the basement and Rose insisted
on taking a dip. Since our hose water is freezing we filled some buckets with
hot water in the house to warm it up! She is a happy girl J
Wednesday Rose and I had a SUPER busy day. We started the
morning with a speech session, then picked up Tahnee and dropped her off at the
groomer, followed by Rose’s riding lesson, and then lunch with Nana, Pop, and
Great-Nana! Followed by picking up Tahnee and Rose getting a much needed nap!
Justin and Rose sent me this fun pic while I was working on
Wednesday night of them finishing off Rose’s ice cream from lunch J
So I have been preparing meals ahead of time for Justin and
Rose for nights they are on their own. Grandma also looks out for their
stomachs and they have been enjoying some dinners at Café Grandma each week.
Since next weekends weather does not look nice we decided to go to Knoebels this weekend!!
Saturday we headed up to Knoebels for the day. We started off doing some rides as a family and then the Jacobs met us for the evening :)
Our first ride was the giant Ferris wheel, so we could scope out all the rides Rose wanted to try!
I was by far the favorite parent for rides and love Rose's expressions in these 'ride selfies' we took :)
I would have preferred if daddy had tackled Rose's first roller coaster ride, but we both survived and Rose said it was fun and gave me a 'high-five'!
We did finally convince her to do the airplanes with daddy :)
Rose's favorite ride was again the carousel...mine too! We ended the day with a ride on the BIG carousel and Justin caught Rose rings to 'feed' to her horse :)
The giant slide with mommy again...which means I got to carry her up ALL those stairs! Thankfully Becky carried her up the second time :)
All week Rose has been asking about 'Anna', Rose even insisted we call her 'Anna', and we had to change the name of a little girl character in a book to 'Anna'!
Best Friends with our little future Best Friends
(Rose even put her arm around Anna for this pic!)
We also all went for a boat ride together. Here is proof that Rose drives like her nana...with her eyes closed!!!
This was my favorite family pic from our great day!
