Weekly Wrap-Up

Well to be utterly obvious, this week was HOT! That did not deter our little girl from wanting to spend as much time outside as possible. Luckily, we have many water activities and grandpa and grandma opened their pool last weekend.

When we did have to head inside, we made some moon dough (just corn starch and shaving cream). We played with it inside on Monday due to the rain, but then outside all week, because it is pretty messy!

Besides the regular water table, pool, and kitchen sink, we also had fun with a good old fashion car wash :)

Justin thought a car wash was such a great idea, that Sunday we washed all our cars. We set up this shady spot for out little flower...

We went in to cool off for a bit (we put the air conditioner in our bedrooms). Rose insisted on wearing her stockings, silly little girl :)

Rose also chose to eat ice cream, naked, covered in a blanket, playing on the iPad with daddy...

Friday, Uncle Matt and (soon-to-be) Aunt Jenni closed on their home! We went over on Saturday to check it out. Rose loved the lever style handles on the doors. We only have knobs on our doors and they are not as easy for her to turn yet. Anyway, we really spent a LONG time letting her open and close the doors and play peek-a-boo. Then she also realized she could lock the doors...so someone had to stay with her :)

Rose also now loves to play with toilet paper and daddy turned her into a ninja :)

Tomorrow we go to pick up Rose's flower girl dress from one of my coworker's mama's who made it just for our little flower girl. I can't wait to see it!

The other week when we cleaned the attic I found my marble maze kits. I honestly remember still playing with these in college! I have had them since I was in elementary school and they have survived. Never did I expect that my little girl would play with them (her daddy really loves them too!).
